Blaenpennal Cavaliers have all four colours of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels available. This page describes the breed and its colours.
The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel belongs to the Toy Group of dogs. Their small handy size and non-trim silky coats make them ideal house dogs. They are highly adaptable dogs, eager to join in with any activity and their undemanding nature makes them very easy to live with.
One of the greatest attractions of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is that they are available in four choices of colour to suit all tastes. The most common is the blenheim; a rich chestnut colour, well broken up on a pearly white background. The tricolour should ideally be a glossy black, again well broken up on a pearly white background. A rich mahogany tan should be above the eyes and below the black eye-patches on the face. The tan should also appear on the underside of the ears. The blenheim and tricolour are referred to as particolours.
The whole colours are the black and tans and the rubies. The Black and tan cavalier should have a raven black coats with tan markings above the eyes and on the cheeks of the head. The tan should also be found on the underside of the ears, chest and legs. The rubies are solid colour and is adeepest rich red.
